The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Berganza hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Felix Berenguer made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tomas Berganza had several of the Miami Mobsters's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Amadeo Maura as he didn't even see the shot coming. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeo Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Miami Mobsters's Cipriano Orkatz got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Eleuterio Gonzo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Miami Mobsters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Gonzo couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, Miami Mobsters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Ioritz to maneuver through the defense. Panama's Abraham Alguacil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Miami Mobsters. With a little luck, Miami Mobsters's Amadeo Maura got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Maura was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, one of Panama:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Miami Mobsters. Victorino Urbasa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Cotilla. 1-3. Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Rioja struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miami Mobsters. 39 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo Maura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Ambrosio Orlanda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Gonzo in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Miami Mobsters defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Maura. The Miami Mobsters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Maura should have stopped the shot. Amadeo Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ambrosio Orlanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Miami Mobsters booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Leopoldo Rioja from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Marcos Cotilla's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 81 minutes into the match, Miami Mobsters's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Amadeo Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Maura having to interfere. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeo Maura. Amadeo Maura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. In the 93rd minute, Dylan Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Miami Mobsters for a fine match.
