Patrick Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karlus Waugh in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 minutes Atlético Capixaba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Finlay Stair who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Jamaica's corner Finlay Stair fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patrick Teles quite easily take care of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Kordal Duff in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Capixaba's Kaká Garcia. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Romon Oliver hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 23rd minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Patrick Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, one of Atlético Capixaba:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Capixaba. Patrick Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romon Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Patrick Teles made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Romon Oliver sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Finlay Stair in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Jamaall Padmore with Leron Sale as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 40 minutes into the game, Jamaica's Finlay Stair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Teles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Patrick Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Finlay Stair in the 45th minute. Patrick Teles was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Kordal Duff capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kordal Duff really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jamaall Padmore made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leron Sale immediately put the ball in play. Atlético Capixaba's Kaká Garcia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kordal Duff, made in the 68th minute of the game. In the 69th minute Karlus Waugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jarell Hill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Teles was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Jano Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
