Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Esteban Carvallo made a great header on Honduras's corner, it was just that Steelares FC's Eloy Gartxot managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 8th match minute, Steelares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Barea to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Steelares FC's Blas Bernabel got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Nicasio Barea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 22 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Steelares FC's protests and gave Amadeo Marcones a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Amadeo Marcones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the game, Steelares FC's Fabricio Ganix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Amadeo Marcones was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. In the 39th match minute, Steelares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Marcones to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Gartxot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eloy Gartxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 55th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Gartxot having to interfere. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Espinar hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 63 played minutes Steelares FC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Quentin. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Gartxot having to interfere. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Steelares FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Steelares FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Ganix. In the 78th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Cabal to maneuver through the defense. Nicasio Barea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play.
