Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquilino Aguilera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 8th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Aguilera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquilino Aguilera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Anastasio Gizon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anastasio Gizon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Aguilera. Aquilino Aguilera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doug Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Aquilino Aguilera to make any attempt to save it. Doug Bermudez hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anastasio Gizon, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aquilino Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Mota in the 39th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Adolfo Mota in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Aquilino Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute. Aquilino Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquilino Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 66th minute of play. When Ricardo Sidro fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Diablos Rojos's protests and gave Ricardo Sidro a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Sidro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 76 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aquilino Aguilera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Aquilino Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Aguilera came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Aquilino Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Diablos Rojos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
