Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Boleslaw Zielinski took the kick off in the first half of the match. Severo Basualdo kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boleslaw Zielinski in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Lyons's Luisito Quinten got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 minutes Lyons's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Julian Murillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Luisito Quinten skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 22nd minute Boleslaw Zielinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Luisito Quinten made a huge save. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Lyons's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Wambasther Piqué. Lyons made a substitution. Dariusz Roano replaced Boleslaw Zielinski. After 63 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Wambasther Piqué. Severo Basualdo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Luisito Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dariusz Roano in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. After 83 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Berasko who took care of the corner kick. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Tenorio in the 89th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Luisito Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lyons getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Severo Basualdo hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
