Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Lyons's Boleslaw Zielinski started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Boleslaw Zielinski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lyons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Zielinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Luisito Quinten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 16th minute of play. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Luisito Quinten made a huge save. Boleslaw Zielinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boleslaw Zielinski in the 28th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Zielinski came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Axel Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Zielinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Damiano Casadei put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Lyons's Damiano Casadei got a free kick in the 45th minute. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Tafalla in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match Abram Sarmiento climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Luisito Quinten. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Axel Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Luisito Quinten. Lyons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Boleslaw Zielinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyons's Stig Åkerberg was substituted for Aurelio Vasco. Lyons's Dariusz Roano was substituted for Boleslaw Zielinski. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Luis Cazalla got a free kick in the 67th minute. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Luis Cazalla hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Dariusz Roano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 3-3. In the 76th minute, Lyons's Dariusz Roano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Dariusz Roano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 3-5. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 89th minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luis Cazalla hit a great ball. The supporters of Lyons booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Quinten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Mastache went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-6 was the resulting score.
