But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Cesare Cardillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Garrido, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Amancio Clodio made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lechuguitas F.C. made a substitution. Armando Santiago replaced Leonardo Paz. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Cesare Cardillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. In the 59thth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lechuguitas F.C.'s Cesare Cardillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Cesare Cardillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lechuguitas F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lechuguitas F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
