The supporters of Breguete FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Souza having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Nathan Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Breguete FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jefferson Souza in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 26 minutes Breguete FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abraham Alguacil who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Alguacil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Cipriano Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Domingues was the one to do the kick off. Jefferson Souza came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Abraham Alguacil. But to his dismay, Abraham Alguacil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 54th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abraham Alguacil scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jefferson Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nathan Fernandes got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Cambeiro during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Breguete FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 80th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson Souza. Breguete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in Breguete FC's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Souza came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Roberto Toledo hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Panama fully deserved thier win.
