Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Gilles Eekhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of the match. Gilles Eekhout came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, AC Milan's Jardel Head sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AC Milan's Gilles Eekhout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 13th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilles Eekhout quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 19 minutes into the match, Jardel Head had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jardel Head was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilles Eekhout having to make a save. 26 minutes into the game, Demis Papastefanou threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 28th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Jardel Head put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Milan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After 42 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mats Hummels who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Jared Wolfman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mats Hummels hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilles Eekhout. The goal made the score 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jardel Head stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jardel Head in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. AC Milan's Gilles Eekhout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 95th minute of play. Peru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of AC Milan for a fine match.
