Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Giraldo went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Axel Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Denis Inautzi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 7 minutes Newell´s's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. Colombia's Axel Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Denis Inautzi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 12th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abram Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Inautzi having to interfere. Denis Inautzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Inautzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute. Pablo Hermon kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Inautzi saved Newell´s from getting behind. Axel Montenegro in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Denis Inautzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Hermon in the 27th minute of play. Denis Inautzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Pablo Hermon made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Axel Montenegro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Denis Inautzi 37 minutes into the match. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Denis Inautzi made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Giraldo in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute Marcos Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Dalmu got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Andrej Golota. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Denis Inautzi came out and tried to block the shot, but Axel Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. If Pascual Carballar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Marcos Giraldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Giraldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Hermon in the 67th minute. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Joshua Garrido hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Garrido. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Giraldo in the 77th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Marcos Giraldo made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Denis Inautzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Carballar in the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Joshua Garrido got a free kick in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Pablo Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Pablo Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Newell´s's Denis Inautzi. Denis Inautzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Newell´s's Marcos Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
