Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Higinio Aguilera made a huge save. After 6 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Edward Mcdonald. Higinio Aguilera was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Cassius Byrne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cassius Byrne really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cassius Byrne struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Higinio Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 16th minute of the match. Cassius Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Aguilera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Mcdonald to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Demy Ottens who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jyrki Sillanpää got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-2. 30 minutes into the match. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Higinio Aguilera came out and tried to block the shot, but Cassius Byrne slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 38th minute. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cassius Byrne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Higinio Aguilera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jyrki Sillanpää in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Albino Brion replaced Demy Ottens. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jyrki Sillanpää stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 minutes of play, USA's Cassius Byrne made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higinio Aguilera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Higinio Aguilera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Monty Rogers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Aguilera having to make a save. Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Luís Fábio Rocha replaced Indiana Jones. Higinio Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Albino Brion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 69th minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Sam Campbell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Sam Campbell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. If Jyrki Sillanpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 93rd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. USA fully deserved thier win.
