The Santa Margarita fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Santa Margarita's Gerardo Lordi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 19 played minutes Santa Margarita got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Landgren. 21 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's goalkeeper Pontus Nordström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amador Joanes. Ángel Albirrojo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erubiel Gonzalez in the 22nd minute. Celso Ayala was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ángel Albirrojo's Lorenzo Lorenz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 45th minute of play forced Ángel Albirrojo's goalkeeper Lorenzo Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Lorenz came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Margarita's Gerardo Lordi. But to his dismay, Gerardo Lordi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Ángel Albirrojo's Lorenzo Lorenz got control of the ball when Witomir Pisarczyk tried to sneak it across the goal line.
