Michael Owen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Victor Erauso made a huge save. In the 5th minute Atlético Montserrat were awarded a corner. Segundo Belarmo went to the cornerflag to take it. Atlético Montserrat's Segundo Belarmo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victor Erauso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 7 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Rocha came free, but Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adilson Rocha took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg. Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th match minute, Atlético Montserrat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Qu Sen Yan to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Cheng Xiang in the 19th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Michael Owen could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Victor Erauso however easily saved by the left post. Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Tavio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Bayo in the 27th minute of play forced Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, 崔光笑 took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Victor Erauso to make any attempt to save it. Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aytuğ Aral in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Montserrat booed when Alijilán returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Qu Sen Yan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victor Erauso. That made the score 3-1 in the 41 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Owen got free with Victor Erauso in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Rito. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wang Cheng Xiang to make the kick off. Victor Erauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qu Sen Yan in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wang Cheng Xiang in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Atlético Montserrat's Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg got control of the ball when Co Bayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Co Bayo in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Co Bayo notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Atlético Montserrat's Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg. Jean-Jacques von der Schulenburg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Segundo Belarmo kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Victor Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Owen in the 77th minute of play. If Aytuğ Aral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when 崔光笑 came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 崔光笑 scored 4-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Erauso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victor Erauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Owen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aytuğ Aral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Cipriano Tavio got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 90th minute Segundo Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Gitano. Atlético Montserrat were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alijilán returns for a fine match.
