In the 36thth minute of the game Fabián Fuentes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Eustaquio Rumaldo put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After 47 minutes, Fabián Fuentes made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Once Virgos FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Maldonado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabián Fuentes's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Fabián Fuentes kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Once Virgos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabián Fuentes in the 94th minute of the match. Yan Mendonça was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Yan Mendonça hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Once Virgos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
