Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Alexander Carballo lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 4 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Libertad FC's Svetaslav Yanchyk got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Benito Sanz. The supporters of Libertad FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 minutes, Svetaslav Yanchyk made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Albino Urbes took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. The throw-in from Lautaro Puig in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Libertad FC's Albino Urbes. A collision led to Libertad FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Patricio Pisano hit a great ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Svetaslav Yanchyk went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Florentino Argina fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benito Sanz, passed just outside the right post. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Morten Hovland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. When Svetaslav Yanchyk came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Libertad FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svetaslav Yanchyk couldn't finish the play. Godofredo Tanio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Svetaslav Yanchyk came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svetaslav Yanchyk in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Svetaslav Yanchyk made the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Libertad FC's Svetaslav Yanchyk. 55 minutes into the game, Libertad FC's Svetaslav Yanchyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albino Urbes went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Urbes in the 65th minute of the match. If Albino Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svetaslav Yanchyk in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Svetaslav Yanchyk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Albino Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Libertad FC fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Libertad FC's Svetaslav Yanchyk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Svetaslav Yanchyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Svetaslav Yanchyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
