Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gianluca Vialli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Inge to maneuver through the defense. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Loco De la Maza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 14 minutes of play, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Gianluca Vialli struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falckner FC. 30 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Damaso Inge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Vialli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gianluca Vialli to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Gabrio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Loco De la Maza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Falckner FC's Loco De la Maza. Loco De la Maza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Urbano Shantala hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices had several of the Falckner FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Loco De la Maza as he didn't even see the shot coming. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Falckner FC throughout the match.
