An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Phelipe in the 25th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Agustin Lain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Real Cantera's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Lain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Lano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaudencio Frichoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victorio Mosen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaudencio Frichoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
