When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 15th minute of play. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Baal Grunberg sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 23rd minute of play. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. Wachirapong Wattanachinda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Fontirroig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kang Cheng Ao's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kang Cheng Ao helped the player get up and apologised. Kang Cheng Ao kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baal Grunberg in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a huge save. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Wachirapong Wattanachinda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Wachirapong Wattanachinda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Wachirapong Wattanachinda in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
