The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Club A. Chipa y Tereré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Segio to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Berganza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tadeo Sesuldo. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeo Sesuldo. That made the score 2-0 after 8 minutes of play. 14 minutes into the game, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Ramon Aurre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Tadeo Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 16th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Tadeo Sesuldo. Tadeo Sesuldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alex Cambeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tadeo Sesuldo came out and tried to block the shot, but Alex Cambeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 25th minute. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Sesuldo having to interfere. Julio Ibañez's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Ibañez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Julio Ibañez got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. Olari Mõniste hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Tadeo Sesuldo in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeo Sesuldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 63rd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeo Sesuldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeo Sesuldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Tadeo Sesuldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Club A. Chipa y Tereré defense, Isidoro Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeo Sesuldo. The Club A. Chipa y Tereré fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeo Sesuldo should have stopped the shot. Tadeo Sesuldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 79th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. After some careless play in the Club A. Chipa y Tereré defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeo Sesuldo. The Club A. Chipa y Tereré fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeo Sesuldo should have stopped the shot. Tadeo Sesuldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Berganza.
