Maravilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Constantino Txordon's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Txordon helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador's Luz Palacio was substituted for Daniel Zorita. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Txordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Muc was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Felix Montenegro. Thanks to some nice moves Luz Palacio could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Prospero Muc however easily saved by the left post. In the 75thth minute of the game Simon Rameriz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nicasio Quinton kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Diego Mancebo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 83rd minute, Luz Palacio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prospero Muc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes of play Maravilla's Nicasio Quinton was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nicasio Quinton kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Diego Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Muc. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. The supporters of Maravilla booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maravilla.
