Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Huacalera FC's goalkeeper Kaj Dahlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. The throw-in from Alejandro Ezkerra in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Kaj Dahlberg in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Eliseo Mina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaj Dahlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Kaj Dahlberg made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Ostots in the 35th minute of the match. Efraim Gilabert was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. Aquilino Ostots walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquilino Ostots to make the kick off. A throw-in in the 54th minute of the game was made by Alejandro Ezkerra with Hector Iratze as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the game, Alejandro Ezkerra threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaj Dahlberg having to make a save. Huacalera FC's Kaj Dahlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 72nd minute of play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Kaj Dahlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Aquilino Ostots capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aquilino Ostots really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Thanks to some nice moves Hector Iratze could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. Peru made a substitution.
