Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Gorunescu in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Gorunescu in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 8 played minutes -BZF- Chimia Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Feroiu. Axel Tasis, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Trpimir Čaplar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 12th minute of play. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Gorunescu's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the game, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Marian Gorunescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 30 played minutes -BZF- Chimia Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Feroiu. Marian Gorunescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sentot Likumahua in the 43rd minute of play. Sentot Likumahua scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marian Gorunescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. -BZF- Chimia Buzau were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marian Gorunescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Marian Gorunescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Marian Gorunescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a -BZF- Chimia Buzau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Gorunescu. Marian Gorunescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. 64 minutes into the game, Marian Gorunescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Marian Gorunescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Sentot Likumahua blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Daniel Feroiu was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 68th minute, Daniel Feroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marian Gorunescu had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Sentot Likumahua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sentot Likumahua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 91st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Marian Gorunescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Axel Tasis scored 1-7 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trpimir Čaplar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
