The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cloyo Salazar during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Cloyo Salazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Enrique Belo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. After 6 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Sacit Selmi. 7 minutes into the match, Sakura Storm's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Enrique Belo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sakura Storm getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Sacit Selmi hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Tadeusz Dziechciowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sakura Storm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Cloyo Salazar kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Sakura Storm's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Enrique Belo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sakura Storm's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. Xavier Zoido hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a good free kick, Xavier Zoido got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Sakura Storm. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 34th minute of play. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 35th minute of the match. Tadeusz Dziechciowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Tadeusz Dziechciowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Sakura Storm booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 played minutes, Sakura Storm's Goi Ribas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacobo Nores came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sakura Storm reached it. After 56 minutes of play Sakura Storm's Sacit Selmi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 57th minute, Sacit Selmi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zsolt Hubina kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Primitivo Escribano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Belo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 62nd minute of play forced Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Enrique Belo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Belo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Dziechciowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When Xavier Zoido fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Xavier Zoido a yellow card for diving instead. Xavier Zoido kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Goi Ribas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sakura Storm's supporters rose to their feet, but Goi Ribas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tadeusz Dziechciowski's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeusz Dziechciowski helped the player get up and apologised. Tadeusz Dziechciowski hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Enrique Belo came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. But to his dismay, Jaime Pardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 95 minutes into the game, Primitivo Escribano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sakura Storm the free kick. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 95th minute.
