Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) FC Dream Team's Jardel van Beek started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Alexandre Carvalhais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, FC Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Albino Oskarbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Jardel van Beek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristiano Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dream Team. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Almeida in the 11th minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albino Oskarbi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Dream Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel van Beek didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Flávio Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dream Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Flávio Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Almeida got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Alvarenga hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Alexandre Carvalhais capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alexandre Carvalhais really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Alexandre Carvalhais scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristiano Tinoco's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Tinoco helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Alexandre Carvalhais sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Albino Oskarbi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 61st minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Albino Oskarbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Oskarbi was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Cristiano Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caetano Alvarenga during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caetano Alvarenga hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Alexandre Carvalhais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Alexandre Carvalhais had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Carvalhais was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. FC Dream Team made a substitution. Braz Tasso replaced Alexandre Carvalhais. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albino Oskarbi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead.
