Gervasio Valiente made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. The throw-in from Dan Ambauen in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Sand in the 30th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute of the game Dan Ambauen made a throw-in which Okan Nesta played forward. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Rosati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gervasio Valiente in the 45 minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. In the 69th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Centurión saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. La Maquina Retorna 【LBF】 made a substitution. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
