In the 3rd minute, AsLaN 1915's Kjell-Arne Edström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 7thth minute of the game Kjell-Arne Edström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gürsel Bahçıvan. AsLaN 1915's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Kjell-Arne Edström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Kjell-Arne Edström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to AsLaN 1915 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. René Henriksen hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Luca Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Gürsel Bahçıvan. AsLaN 1915's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Macos Graciani hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Edström in the 32nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, AsLaN 1915's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Gürsel Bahçıvan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AsLaN 1915 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ambrosio Piearres hit a great ball. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AsLaN 1915. After a defensive mix-up in AsLaN 1915's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gürsel Bahçıvan came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gürsel Bahçıvan saved AsLaN 1915 from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AsLaN 1915's Tadeu Arruda. Gürsel Bahçıvan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 60th minute of play. If René Henriksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AsLaN 1915's attentive Mehmet Ali Onuker managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Leoz made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell-Arne Edström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AsLaN 1915's Gürsel Bahçıvan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save AsLaN 1915 from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürsel Bahçıvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AsLaN 1915's Tadeu Arruda got a free kick in the 76th minute. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Ali Onuker in the 83rd minute of the match. Gürsel Bahçıvan made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürsel Bahçıvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ambrosio Piearres was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, one of AsLaN 1915:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AsLaN 1915. Emirşah Tolgahan kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
