With an all-out effort, Karamázov's Rolando Noboa threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aureliano Cordeara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Karamázov's Aureliano Cordeara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. A sloppy throw-in by Milagros Fraga in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Karamázov's Aureliano Cordeara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 35th minute of play forced Karamázov's goalkeeper Brickeen Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brickeen Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Alexei Karamazov in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Milagros Fraga. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Karamázov's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Brickeen Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Anthony Alvarado quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alexei Karamazov, made in the 64th minute of the game. 67 minutes into the game, Aureliano Cordeara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karamázov's Dimitri Karamazov was substituted for Teodosio Ugaitz. Alexei Karamazov made in the 72nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aureliano Cordeara however managed to control. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Uhin in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Aureliano Cordeara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brickeen Wall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 96th minute. Karamázov's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
