An unexpectedly hard shot by Fu Ling in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Linghed Angels FC's Victor Malmberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Ove Hellström fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linghed Angels FC's protests and gave Ove Hellström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Linghed Angels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Hellström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Seaman having to make a save. Jörgen Magnusson charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörgen Magnusson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jörgen Magnusson hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Magnusson in the 42nd minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fu Ling, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. David Seaman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. David Seaman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fu Ling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Magnusson in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Fu Ling made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the game, Declan Rice was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linghed Angels FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Ove Hellström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ove Hellström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Linghed Angels FC's Fu Ling was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 78th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ove Hellström struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linghed Angels FC. After a rather tough play, Linghed Angels FC's Jörgen Magnusson got a free kick in the 90th minute. William Saliba was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
