A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Primitivo Escribano hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Haitz having to interfere. A collision led to ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Felix Cordarrell hit a great ball. Hector Covarrubias really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Candido Haitz made a huge save. The supporters of Paraguay booed when ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Abar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Sanduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Candido Haitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Paraguay's Jaime Pardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Candido Haitz. That made the score 3-1 after 46 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. After 56 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Candido Haitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Sanduru came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Ruperto Sanduru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Hector Covarrubias made a precise shot to the right of Candido Haitz. ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 81stth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ✴ ᑭᕮᒪᑌᑕᕼᕮ ✴'s Candido Haitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Ruperto Sanduru sent off a good shot on target.
