An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Macias in the 72nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Kiliz came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Kiliz in the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Diego Eterno getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Cosme Fulanito hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Godofredo Oxel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Diego Eterno.
