With an all-out effort, Mexico's Martyon Diehl threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peng Qi Chong in the 7th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Martyon Diehl. Astreix&ObelixSoccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martyon Diehl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martyon Diehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Martyon Diehl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sacha Lilley hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peng Qi Chong in the 31st minute of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 36th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jakub Moizuk made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Moizuk in the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martyon Diehl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Astreix&ObelixSoccer's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyon Diehl came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quentin Hart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th match minute, Astreix&ObelixSoccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrejs Upītis to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
