The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 30 minutes, Txeru Errasti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATLETICO HUILA F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Txeru Errasti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beltza Morell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Beltza Morell got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's goalkeeper Beltza Morell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Beltza Morell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bonifaco Sovera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bonifaco Sovera made a kick off. If Bilbo Frecha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timeteo Hernani, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Maximiliano Escribano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beltza Morell was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Beltza Morell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Beltza Morell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 89th minute of play. In the 89th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beltza Morell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Uruguay fully deserved thier win.
