Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ramon María Guisado started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Deportivo Lirayén defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salbatore Adelsdorfer. The Deportivo Lirayén fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salbatore Adelsdorfer should have stopped the shot. After 15 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salbatore Adelsdorfer having to make a save. Salbatore Adelsdorfer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced Deportivo Lirayén's goalkeeper Salbatore Adelsdorfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Salbatore Adelsdorfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. Salbatore Adelsdorfer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Romano Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Lirayén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romano Bautista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salbatore Adelsdorfer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 43 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 43rd minute, Ezmundo Osorio fired a really elegant long shot, but Julio Vera threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 45 minutes into the match, Deportivo Lirayén's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Salbatore Adelsdorfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Salbatore Adelsdorfer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Salbatore Adelsdorfer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Salbatore Adelsdorfer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 62 minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salbatore Adelsdorfer having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Romano Bautista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute Romano Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Paulino Naranjo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Lirayén's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Naranjo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Lirayén's Salbatore Adelsdorfer did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Sebastián Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salbatore Adelsdorfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romano Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A hard shot 88 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Salbatore Adelsdorfer managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Lirayén's players were relieved. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 89th minute. In the 91st match minute, Deportivo Lirayén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romano Bautista to maneuver through the defense. Salbatore Adelsdorfer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Naranjo in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Paulino Naranjo notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Deportivo Lirayén.
