Taquaral Campineiro's Amílton Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 9th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Taquaral Campineiro getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Giovani Teixeira hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Amílton Sá. Taquaral Campineiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Valentín Carvallo's late challenge caught a Taquaral Campineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentín Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. Valentín Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Taquaral Campineiro's Donato Guerra. But to his dismay, Donato Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 27th match minute, Taquaral Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Walmir Bezerra, made in the 40th minute of the game. Amílton Sá made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Amílton Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taquaral Campineiro's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Sá came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Honduras booed when Taquaral Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Luca Espinar got a free kick in the 54th minute. Raúl Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taquaral Campineiro's Amílton Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Geraldo de Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taquaral Campineiro's protests and gave Geraldo de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Donato Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Guerra in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Taquaral Campineiro getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Waldemar Baptista hit a great ball. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílton Sá saved Taquaral Campineiro from getting behind. 85 minutes in the game Walmir Bezerra did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Armando Donatello. Amílton Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Honduras's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
