After 22 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 毛云默 was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 毛云默 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score was now 0-13. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with 毛云默 in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The 康富来 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 毛云默 should have stopped the shot. 毛云默 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 97th minute of the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
