Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Stratton FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Alessandro Sacchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stratton FC's goalkeeper Lawrance See, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jakub Zoufalý fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 34th minute Alessandro Sacchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Alessandro Sacchi made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The goalkeeper, Lawrance See, was totally fooled by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alessandro Sacchi was the one to do the kick off. Alessandro Sacchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lawrance See quite easily take care of the ball. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lawrance See breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrance See made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of play. After 84 played minutes Stratton FC got a freekick which was hit by Bradshaw Waller. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Zoufalý, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Stratton FC's Jakub Zoufalý. But to his dismay, Jakub Zoufalý quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Jakub Zoufalý took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. In the 94th minute, Matthew Grieve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Stratton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Lawrance See reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
