Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sidney Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 24th minute of play. Sidney Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Sidney Motta made a huge save. The corner ended in Monty Rogers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves Edward Mcdonald could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Sidney Motta however easily saved by the left post. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, Ersan Ergüleç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Imbituba - FSCMZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. Sidney Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Sidney Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 53rd minute of the match. Jenson Smith took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidney Motta. Sidney Motta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 58th minute of the match USA got a corner. Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Motta having to interfere. A collision led to Imbituba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Pedro Luís Fonseca hit a great ball. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Monty Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sidney Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathaniel Burnett in the 71st minute of play. Sam Campbell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidney Motta having to make a save. In the 86th minute, Rogério da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidney Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 87th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Marco Baker sped through Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidney Motta. Sidney Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 94th minute of the match. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathaniel Burnett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
