Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, The Alliance's Andreas Bure got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Eliseo Noboa scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evert Offendahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 7 minutes of play, The Alliance's Bixente Massardier made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baran Bilge Ulusoy hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evert Offendahl saved The Alliance from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Hermansson in the 16th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Urban Galvan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Alliance's supporters rose to their feet, but Baran Bilge Ulusoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Kasper Hermansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Kasper Hermansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bixente Massardier to make the kick off. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bixente Massardier went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Bixente Massardier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Bixente Massardier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Valter Rosin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baran Bilge Ulusoy in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kasper Hermansson in the 88th minute. Bixente Massardier came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bixente Massardier in the 94th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
