Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Werneck FC - DMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Secada to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Basílio Baiano hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Felix Donciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Donciu made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Machado in the 27th minute of play. Fu Ting Nan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Emilio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werneck FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Emilio Machado sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 41st minute, Emilio Machado made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Machado's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Werneck FC - DMZ made a substitution. Laerte Porto replaced Basílio Baiano. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Machado's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Werneck FC - DMZ's Emilio Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 0-3 after 69 minutes of play. Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Luz was substituted for Emilio Machado. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Zé Paulo Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Werneck FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Zé Paulo Luz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Paulo Luz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. 83 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo Luz. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Felix Donciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Werneck FC - DMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
