Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abram Sarmiento kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ago Tramp in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 12th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaston Ávila kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Mel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 16th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Sun Zhi Zhen. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes Velez Sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ago Tramp in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Velez Sarsfield's Nereo Artaldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Mastache struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Erwin Huygens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. In the 44th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Samuel Navarro put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Samuel Navarro hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Arnoldo Mel managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Ago Tramp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abram Sarmiento took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erwin Huygens. Erwin Huygens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nereo Artaldo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 65th minute. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Erwin Huygens threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abram Sarmiento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pascual Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario was substituted for Nereo Artaldo. Velez Sarsfield's Ignacio Berenguer was substituted for Ago Tramp. In the 74th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Carballar to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens got control of the ball when Ignacio Mastache tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnoldo Mel made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Augusto Cordario however managed to control. Erwin Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 88th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ignacio Mastache kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erwin Huygens. That made the score 3-2 in the 94 minute of play.
