Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. İbrahim Volkan started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by İbrahim Volkan in the 5th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 minutes of play, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Damian Maftei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Aguinaga Nebot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aguinaga Nebot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefanos Terzopoulos in the 16th minute of the match. Aguinaga Nebot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Aguinaga Nebot in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aguinaga Nebot, 1-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İbrahim Volkan in the 29th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martinez Cines, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Esmeraldas S.C.'s zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguinaga Nebot came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aguinaga Nebot having to make a save. The supporters of Mexico booed when Esmeraldas S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. İbrahim Volkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. Stefanos Terzopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Volkan in the 55th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Maftei in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martinez Cines in the 64th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Aguinaga Nebot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aguinaga Nebot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 69th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Aguinaga Nebot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Alberto Tafalla put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aguinaga Nebot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
