Ahmet Yahya Burçak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmet Yahya Burçak slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Róbson Simões 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Ahmet Yahya Burçak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Yahya Burçak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Elian, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Toa Toa 4EVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ahmet Yahya Burçak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toa Toa 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Yahya Burçak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
