In the 5th minute of the match, Alparslan Türkeş tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Angelo Borges who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Marcos Cotilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. ѕєηαтσякσвяα's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paavo Maldini in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Van Winter got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Angelo Borges notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Angelo Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Atak Üke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Miralles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play, ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Angelo Borges made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute Stefan Zawadzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Zawadzki in the 69th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Zawadzki went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Borges in the 78th minute of play. ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Stefan Zawadzki got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ѕєηαтσякσвяα's Gafur Dolunay was substituted for Bozkurt Kabil. In the 88th minute Hao Qiang Shi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Borges in the 92nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atak Üke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of ѕєηαтσякσвяα booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that ѕєηαтσякσвяα were the better team. ѕєηαтσякσвяα's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
