Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 87th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Chiuzbaian was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Camilo Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Camilo Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Zhao Sen Yang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivan Chiuzbaian. That made the score 4-2 in the 94 minute of play. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
