After 80 played minutes, USA's Jenson Smith shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luis Galarza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in USA reached it. The supporters of USA booed when Kalatakaya F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Lluterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, USA's Sam Campbell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Galarza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 92nd minute Marco Baker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Galarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. USA had played much better football throughout.
