Pascoal Espírito Santo was slow to take the kick. During this time Machados FC V2's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Hildeberto Cortez drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Ecuador's goalkeeper. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Cebrian in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play forced Machados FC V2's goalkeeper Rodrigo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Machados FC V2's Rodrigo Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 45th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodrigo Lima in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, Machados FC V2's Hildeberto Cortez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Machados FC V2 reached it. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
