Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Kauno Pirnes was a little too slow when Agustín Saelices got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Hidrocarburo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Kauno Pirnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Sol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauno Pirnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Hidrocarburo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Fabiani to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kauno Pirnes came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kauno Pirnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Hidrocarburo FC's Kauno Pirnes managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Kauno Pirnes made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 39th minute. Nemesio Sol struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hidrocarburo FC. 46 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kauno Pirnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Sol was the one to do the kick off. When Nemesio Sol came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Hidrocarburo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Sol couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nemesio Sol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Mariano Valensuela, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Hidrocarburo FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kahlil Suwandi hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Valensuela was slow to take the kick. During this time Hidrocarburo FC's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kauno Pirnes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Hidrocarburo FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Amos Fabiani hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hidrocarburo FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Julio Vera, was totally fooled by Hidrocarburo FC's Mariano Valensuela, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 97th minute. In the 99th minute, Nemesio Sol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hidrocarburo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
