The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Cosme Turi got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A collision led to Acercate Y Patea de Lejos getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lázaro Llope hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Baltasar Gaitan got a free kick in the 16th minute. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Emenon in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Llope in the 28th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Lizzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Baumar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosme Turi kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardino Baumar was the one to do the kick off. Baltasar Gaitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Matxin having to interfere. Casimiro Lertxun kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Casimiro Lertxun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Turi in the 67th minute of play. Cable a Tierra made a substitution. Fabio Fidencio replaced Reynaldo Lauren. Cable a Tierra's Jose Ursino was substituted for Angelo Erauso. In the 70th minute of the match Cable a Tierra got a corner. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baldomero Gaitan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's goalie and right to Baltasar Gaitan. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Acercate Y Patea de Lejos's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 73 played minutes Cable a Tierra got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Mantzio. In the 75th minute, Maximino Timo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Matxin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltasar Gaitan in the 78th minute. When Cosme Turi fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cable a Tierra's protests and gave Cosme Turi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Acercate Y Patea de Lejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position.
