Rodrigo Domingues started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Domingues in the 5th minute. In the 7th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Domingues in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Claudinei Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Breguete FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the game, Roberto Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breguete FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 28th minute, Roberto Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rodrigo Domingues hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Domingues in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manfredo de Queirós during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute Rodrigo Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Benjamim Rezende notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 43 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Domingues lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo de Queirós. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Domingues came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Rodrigo Domingues put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. There was no doubt that Breguete FC were the better team. Breguete FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
