After 12 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gomez Urrea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Porvenir defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gomez Urrea. The Porvenir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gomez Urrea should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Santiago came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Porvenir's Gomez Urrea got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gomez Urrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Gomez Urrea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Porvenir's Gomez Urrea got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gomez Urrea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 31st minute. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Hector Santiago made the kick off in the second half. Gomez Urrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Casaus to maneuver through the defense. Porvenir's Camacho Molledo was substituted for Guerrero Onterino. In the 66th minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gomez Urrea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego was a little too slow when Camacho Molledo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 4-5. Gomez Urrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Camacho Molledo made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-6. The Chile supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Porvenir's performance. The match ended with a win for Porvenir.
